ANNUAL REPORT 2021 -2022
The Annual Report of Apollo Public School Urban Estate Patiala articulates and demonstrates the dynamic nature of our school and our commitment to excellence. The report also provides some idea about the way resources have been used to provide quality teaching and learning environments for our children during this Covid Period. The school collectively has an enthusiastic and dedicated team of 57 teachers in the Senior Secondary, Secondary, the Primary and the Pre-Primary sections. In addition, we have Non-Teaching and supporting staff. Their coordination with each other is what enables the school to function smoothly and grow with new perspectives.
SCHOOL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Meetings of SMC members are held on a regular basis and new members are nominated for the academic year 2021 -22. Meetings were arranged periodically where the members of SMC are closely involved in most of the academic and co-curricular activities. We thank and congratulate them for their support and cooperation throughout the year
ACADEMICS
Academics is the core focus of our school. All the possible efforts have been taken and, we will continue to take, to ensure academic excellence in our school. We believe that excellence in academics is the hall mark of our school, as a good institution. We are proud to report that 2021-22 Batch of X and XII Students have brought laurels to the school by their excellent results. We achieved 100% results in CBSE class X and 98.76% in XII examination. This was possible because of the continuous efforts of the dedicated staff ; taking extra classes and other remedial measures to improve them
ONLINE STUDY DURING COVID PANDEMIC
The nationwide lock down following COVID-19 pandemic had led to Online Education which in result dramatically changed the distinctive rise of E-learning whereby teaching was taken remotely and on digital platforms. Our teachers were regularly in contact with students and parents and managed online classes regularly. Participation of students through Google classroom was significantly monitored to ensure uninterrupted learning during the challenging COVID time. Integrated Learning was remarkably conducted by our teachers and continues to be a regular practice during regular classrooms.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS
Many Workshops ,Social Awareness Programmes, Social Service such as Visiting Old Age Home ,Mission Hariyali, NashaMukt Bharat, Earth Day, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc. were conducted for the students.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Twenty students were inducted into the Prefectural Board in various capacities. During online the Investiture Ceremony Balihar Singh of class XII was chosen as the Head Boy and Palkinpreet Kaur of Class XII was chosen the Head Girl.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES FOR TEACHERS
Workshops and Seminars encourage new ideas and facilitate innovation, experimentation, knowledge, skills and personality development. A number of enrichment programmes for teachers were organized. Teachers also attended the workshops given by the CBSE to enhance themselves for the new NEP 2020.
CELEBRATIONS
To foster National integration and international understanding, religious and cultural awareness, various occasions –National, religious and cultural festivals were celebrated with enthusiasm and grandeur.
- National Festivals: Independence Day, Republic Day, Kargil Vijay Diwas were celebrated with reverence for our motherland with patriotic song and dances.
- Religious Festivals : Diwali , Gurupuravs , Makarsankranti , Christmas , Holi , Muharram etc were celebrated to show Unity in Diversity culture of India.
- School gives recognition to significant global events and celebrates these special days with enthusiasm. Some of the events celebrated are- Hindi Divas, Children’s Day, Yoga day, Science exhibition, Environment day etc.
COMPETITIONS / EVENTS / FUNCTIONS

Hard work and determination have made the dreams of our students materialize in the various online competitions that they took part. A number of activities and competition were organized throughout the year to ensure a better personality development among students, as we believe that each child is unique and possesses inherent potential.Many students have reached the State and National levels in these competitions..
GAMES & SPORTS
When students are physically fit they will achieve more academically. Games and sports develop a sense of friendliness among the children and also build their team spirit. It has children to develop mental and physical toughness during this in mind the school provides ample opportunities for the students to perform regular exercise yoga and to play and proof they metal in various sports and games many students participated in various events like basketball tournament, chess tournament, cricket tournament, football tournament, kho-kho, volleyball, table tennis tournaments and have won laurels to the school
CONCLUSION
Our aim is to be one of the leading schools in the community it serves, known and widely acknowledged as a secular institution which develops character and ethical leadership in its students in their pursuit of excellence. We hope Apollo Public School , Patiala will be recognized as a model for excellence in academics, art and culture and sports.
